Happy Mother¡¯s Day
this past week was really hard for my mom. physically, mentally, and spiritually. she was having headaches, back problems, and her feet hurt from walking around at work so much. as a result of that, her brain was just dead tired from working and stressing out : worried wat we were gonna have for dinner the next day, whether or not sam needs a ride somewhere, etc. and spiritually, God took away all her friends from church. she had several other »ç¸ð´Ôµé w/ whom she was really good friends w/. but one by one they moved elsehwere mainly b/c of jobs. and this past week hit her really hard and she talked to me often about her weary heart.
as a senior, it gets me worried that i'm leaving her in just a few months and all i'm thinking about is how i'm going to spend my summer w/ friends at great america. i mean, that's not sinful or anything, but i forget to give consideration to my mom especially. i think about my daddy b/c he's the one in korea, absent at home so it's easy to remember all the things he does for us. like that popular saying : you dunno wat you really have until it's taken from you. so it's kinda like that. but it's hard to do that for moms b/c they're right under our noses, and it seems habitual that they do the things they do -- clean the bathrooms, vaccuum the house, picking you up (wherever you are), giving you money so you can shop for yourself, washing our clothes (gosh this is a big one b/c i can't do my own laundry), dusting off shelves, aaaalllll the nittygritty work is done by my mom, at least. i dunno about you.
but i am so thankful that God gave me a mother who is patient, loving, sacrificial, warm-hearted, generous, hardworking.... basically everything that Proverbs 31 says. even proverbs 31 is geared more towards wives it's pretty much wat a mom needs to be too. i'll post the passage up here.
PROVERBS 31 : 10 - 31
10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food fromafar.
15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness
28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
29 "May women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
i love you ¾ö¸¶.
Your dedication to be a Godly woman and a mother to sam and me is a blessing. You are blessed. And we love you so.
Give your mom, aunt, grandma, mother-in-law, stepmom, oldest sister, ANYONE who has impacted your life so.... give her a hug
